‘China’s Trade Remedy Law and Practice’: International Law Discussion Group, 24th of September 2014

You are all very warmly invited to the International Law Discussion Group meeting which is taking place on the 24th of September 2014 (4pm – 5.30pm) in the Moot Court Room.

Bai Ming, Visiting Scholar at Edinburgh University and Deputy Director of the Bureau of Fair Trade in the Ministry of Commerce, China, will be presenting on the topic: ‘China’s Trade Remedy Law and Practice.’

“Antidumping and related trade remedies are the most popular policy instruments that many of the largest importing countries in the WTO system use to protect domestic industry. After China entering into WTO in 2002, in order to implement effective trade remedy measures, China has built up systematic trade remedy legal system and taken fruitful practices according to WTO rules. At the same time, China trade remedy is facing increasingly pressure and challenge from internal and external sides. This presentation will introduce China Trade Remedy law and practice, the Challenge it’s facing and its future development”.

After the presentation there will be a moment for discussion and refreshments.
