UN Internship Opportunity

The United Nations Department of Field Support (DFS) is currently looking for interns to work in its various divisions and in the Strategic Support Team in the Office of Under-Secretary-General in New York. We are currently recruiting for the Spring intake starting January 2017.

DFS helps plan, mobilize and sustain international peace operations in the world’s most complex environments. This year, we support nearly 170,000 personnel in 36 peacekeeping, political and other international operations with solutions that are rapid, effective, efficient, and responsible. The Strategic Support Team in the Office of the Under-Secretary-General of Field Support provides direct executive and management support to DFS leadership. Our work covers DFS strategy, performance, and analytics; as well as communication, coordination, and external relations.

Internships are available under three broad tracks:  i) Executive and Management Support; ii) Analytics and Business Intelligence, and iii) Communications and Design. More details about these tracks, and on application procedure can be accessed here https://careers.un.org/lbw/jobdetail.aspx?id=57940 (Please apply via this link)

This opportunity is available for students enrolled in a graduate program or students who have graduated in the past 12 months. Undergraduate students in their final year of study are also eligible to apply. We accept both part-time and full time interns.

While there is no formal deadline for the application, we aim to finalize all selections by the end of November/early December for the January 2017 intake.
